Guidelines, a diet low potassium:

Be sure to cook the frozen fruit and vegetables in water and rinse before serving, allow to drain well.
The liquid must be of all fruits and vegetables in cans and rinse before serving to be drained.
Potatoes can be peeled and cut into slices, soak in water for at least 4 hours or overnight before washing and cooking. The green leafy vegetables (cabbage, spinach and kale) should be soaked for at least 4 hours before cooking and rinse well. This reduces the amount of potassium in these foods.
Check labels for words that contain potassium, such as potassium chloride, in so hidden in foods.
Avoid salt substitutes, and many of them contain potassium. Salt mixtures of herbs and spices are acceptable for free.
Limit foods that are rich in potassium.
