So I pulled out our old apartment ... Under the assumption that we owe them money ... 2 months ago .. received an eviction notice ... have tried to pay, and we realized we couldnt worthy .. So I decided to go.

Depending on your lease and local laws. In most cases, the landlord can not recover the cost for repairs and for the expulsion.
